Mooloolaba Winter Series

Another weekend, another regatta - such is the life of a sailor. With the forecast unreliable (it said “variable”) we had no idea what we were expecting, expecially with a good breeze hitting the river on the friday before the regatta.

What we got however was an ocean with waves, tide and no wind - fun. The noosa crowd had a good turnout with 5 lasers and 2 sabots, and put in a strong effort, with myself pulling out 2nd in the 4.7’s and good results from the sabots and the other lasers.

The wind was dodgy, the tide was killer and the motor boats seemed to have it in only for me. all in all - it was a pretty good regatta.

Sounds like fun. I’m selling my little sailing boat. Never got to use it, always working. One day though, I might get into this type of stuff.

Well done. So often the wind and seas conditions are not what we would hope for. The truly great sailors go fast in all conditions.
